I dunno. Is starting WW3 another purpose? No co-sponsors. This guy is another Doug Mastriano, only that assessment is probably a grave disservice to an old soldier like Mastriano.

I do think China will end up eating Russia, and that Putin is just helping that along by killing off all those young men.
Well, absorbing Russia would make them stronger, and that would be tough to do if WW3 were breaking out all over the place.

Well we started to stop the crazy when people voted for Trump, who was the lone voice saying that we needed to stop outsourcing everything to China.
Trump is a mixed bag, but he was right on that. I think our best shot is to focus on the consensus issues like reshoring and getting control of the border. We can back sensible policies, or we can embrace all kinds of deeply unpopular issues and personality cults that will lose the Independents. One thing we can’t do is to win elections by winning a party primary alone, if that party only has 25% of the vote. We need to get pragmatic.

Same here. I get the feeling these bills are all for show, intended to be lost in committee. Wanting to “look tough on China”. Meanwhile, by other means, it’s almost as if we are trying to goad China into attacking Taiwan (madness on our part if so). Interesting times we are living in.
And thank you for keeping an eye an eye on this and checking up on these bills. This is the good stuff FR used to be all about and why I joined over 20 years ago.
