CINCINNATI — Northern Kentucky is following in the footsteps of Cincinnati as it closes its Ohio River water intakes ahead of possibly contaminated water from the East Palestine train derailment.

Northern Kentucky Water District (NKWD) announced Saturday that it is officially shutting off its Ohio River intakes as a "precautionary measure." NKWD previously said on Feb. 10 that they intended to close down the water intakes as a precaution if chemicals from the train derailment continued downstream.

As long as it does not affect the Skyline Chili output.

Probably not even necessary, but the screeching of the Chicken Littles and the slavering of the environmental liability lawyers would be unbearable if they didn’t.

Don’t bet on it.

I’m not sure this is going to just be forgotten.

On Instagram a guy from Lexington, Kentucky showed photos
of deal birds on a parking lot down there.

The sky had gone overcast and it was drizzling.

I don’t know what to make of it. He thought it was
related to East Palestine.

I don’t know where this was, but a lady threw a brick into
the water of a stream pool.

The place looked absolutely normal to begin with. She
tossed that brick in and the whole pool broke out into
large multicolored chemical rings on the surface. All
the water on the surface was absolutely no go.

There seemed to be a big eight foot by fifteen foot
disturbance on the surface. That’s my guess. It may
have been larger. Obviously if she had thrown the
brick at any other point, the same thing would have
happened.

“Oh, just drink the water. It’s no big deal.”

Riiiiight...

This source blames the bird death on a thunder storm. OK, sure.

Evidently this wasn’t the only location then.

The lot the guy showed the dead birds in was not this lot
unless it was taken at an angle that doesn’t seem to relate
here.

His photo was at night, and there seemed to be six to eight
dead birds.

It would seem to me that birds would have been dying all
along the route from East Palestine if that was indeed
the source of what killed the birds.

People can get worked up and jump to conclusions.

Those black clouds rising up above the wreck were so
ominous looking, it caused me to think almost anything
would be possible.

Perhaps a little common sense eliminates most of it.

There’s nothing to gain from going haywire over
nothing, but who do you trust these days. You have
to use comment sense and evidence. You sure can’t
trust the powers that be anymore.

That’s the rub. I don’t trust the bastards. They (MSM, gooberment, and their pals) have lost my trust and capable pushing anything nefarious on us.

BTW, I live in Louisville and switched to our reserve water stores two days ago. I don’t trust them to give us the heads up until it’s already with us. Just like this nuclear war they are trying provoke. I don’t expect the SOBs to give us a heads up on incoming birds.

Yes. I live in Louisville. So do my children and grandchildren. I am not the least bit concerned about any impact on our water quality coming from the accident in East Palestine.

Anything that makes it this far downstream will be such a low concentration, it won't be measurable, and will not cause any harm.

.... And last week on Free Republic it was reported that one of the head border guard agents declared an 800% increase in apprehension of Chinese Nationals across the border. A recon operation? Infrastructure terrorism by CCP?

I don’t blame you for having trust issues right now.

I’m not convinced you have a worry in Louisville. You very
well may. I’d keep my ear to the ground, and use my water
carefully. Who knows what’s next, and you might need it
more then.

You’re thinking in the right terms regardless.

Now, we’re just global cattle to them, and you can see
what they have in store for cattle.

I don’t dismiss that. (mass hysteria)

I will say that there is a lot of uncertainty in the air,
and with these events happening with regularity, coupled
with the Leftist civil unrest and escalating violent
crime over the last few years, it isn’t all that
unreasonable to see some of it.

Older people who don’t get out much are kind of on edge
anyway.
