Gunnison Colorado is one of the best places in the country. We went often for our 2 weeks in August when I was a kid, mom and dad honeymooned and retired there. Great people but snow from Nov to March great for skiing, summer is a fishermans paradise, cast a fly and rainbow trouts come out. My favorite is the fish hatchery on the river up towards Crested Butte, it is a buffet for bald eagles you can see 4-5 up in the trees enjoying some fresh fish.

It is wonderful, I’m about 2 hours away. I can get to the Gunnison below some miles below the Black Canyon to fish in about an hour.
Wolves are loved by the left because they eat calves. Wolves good, cows bad.

We went to CB twice about 2 decades ago for school spring break skiing/snowboarding trips. Delta flew direct into Gunnison in ski season for a few years. I loved it there.
