Trump tries to seem unbothered by Ron DeSantis, but he can't stop writing angry Truth Social posts about him

That’s it in a nutshell. Rabid supporters won’t be deterred no matter what he does and neither will the progs who detest him, so the only area for potential gain is among fence-sitters - of which he is converting 0% with this behavior.

I’m an ‘independent’ but I’ve never been a ‘fence sitter’ regarding Trump. I voted for him twice, and admired him very much.

But this stuff makes no sense, and he should stop it.

Ahh, Business Insider.

A source of news that is the paragon of objectivity.

“...Well, one can dream....”

That would be the ideal ticket. And maybe Trump retire in his third year to give DeSantis a leg up.

This really is frustrating. Trump was an amazing president, the best in a long time.

But his recent comments make it seem like he’s insecure, and that he’s more about himself than the good of America.

Sad.

THEY ARE TERRIFIED OF TRUMP....

No one in the swamp is terrified of Trump. In fact it’s quite the opposite. Everybody knows they have a mulligan to take out Trump and can do whatever they want to defeat him.

He's just on a never-ending unhinged rant about Ron DeSantis, and it's embarrassing to read.

It's called "DeSantis Derangement Syndrome". It's truly bizarre to see the object of TDS become a severe sufferer of DDS.

I agree. I’m a Trump supporter but I really like DeSantis as well. I’ll stick with him but many others won’t. Trump needs to STFU. Now.

Yes. And a globalist/neocon to boot. He needs to stay in Florida and quit dividing the party.

I’m not embarrassed at all. He finds DeSantis more of a threat than those others

People think this is 2015-16

It’s not.

It’s a wise political tactic even if DeSantis hasn’t announced. Most voters barely know DeSantis. I personally hate these tactics but nice guys typically finish last. When (if) DeSantis announces, then voters will already be predisposed to not trust DeSantis. Believe me, if DeSantis does enter the race, he will also unleash on Trump.

That is why I hope both sides can cooperate. This is Trump’s shot, and a bloody fight for the nomination might very well damage DeSantis like Cruz (Cruz will never be president, largely based on that political conflict). DeSantis should continue to run Florida, proving his conservative bona fides. He will then be set for 2028.

If Trump acted like a mature, level-headed person and quit this childish name calling, he’d be unbeatable.

I see it a different way. Trump has evidently found out some things about DeSantis that would not be good for the country. He is trying in a measured way to warn us before we become too enamored of DeSantis.

My guess he doesn't want to drop it all on us yet so he chips away at Ron. That's the only thing I can think of for the attacks that seem to have come out of the blue.

All the anonymous nameless, faceless one note Johnny ankle biters, using fake names, slither out of the wood work. Then pretend THEY are experts at what everyone else should do/be.

Thank God he never listens to those losers or he would never have:

Why is he bothered by him?

People make assumptions

He might be bothered by him because he would be bad for the country trump is working so hard to save and make great.

Why are people so full of hate they can’t think of this?
