I read a a translated summary of Putin’s speech to his “congress” yesterday and to me it seemed mostly about domestic matters, sort of a state of the nation. He did say since NATO (US) intends to destroy Russia he would suspend START.
‘Tis doubtful NATO wants to destroy Russia, as that could leave the problem of thousands of loose nukes.
OTOH, Putin might view defeat sufficient to push Russia out of Ukraine as being “destroyed”. It certainly could result in HIS end.
