What makes you believe the bill would be only a couple of thousands of dollars? My guess is that the expenditure would most likely run into the millions of dollars. Perhaps even 10s or 100s of millions of dollars.

No, I actually have no idea about ring cameras at all, as I do not have a need for them. I live in the country, and have other forms of alert systems. 🙂
Trains, especially freight trains, are long and the tracks are not always straight either. Would a ring camera really provide the kind of coverage needed, I honestly doubt they would be sufficient at all.
