Zelensky shows some openness to China’s cease-fire proposal: ‘The question is what follows the words’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signaled he is somewhat open to working with China on its cease-fire plan for the war between Russia and Ukraine.

“I believe that the fact that China started talking about Ukraine is not bad, but the question is what follows the words,” Zelensky said at a press conference on Friday, The Associated Press reported.

China released a 12-point plan for trying to find a resolution in the conflict as the one-year anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine arrived. The plan includes points calling for respecting all countries’ sovereignty, ending hostilities, resuming peace talks and resolving the humanitarian crisis that has been created by the war.

Ukraine will agree to the ceasefire and Russia will attack again. Maybe not immediately but they will.

China is out for China. If they can be the peacemakers and embarrass the Josef Stolen Regime, they’ll do it.

"‘The question is what follows the words’"

And the question Zelenskyy will be asking, is "How much are you willing to pay me Chairman XI?"

Basically this. Imagine they actually brokered some kind of peace while the U.S. is just dumping more weapons onto the battlefield.

A ceasefire is not a peace proposal. A ceasefire until what?

Would be pretty funny if China made a peace deal while Biden just cost us billions by extending the war.
Anything that embarrasses NeoCons is a positive for Americans

There would be no peace deal if we just let Ukraine collapse.

Logic please.

A ceasefire stops the killing and destruction.

There’s lots of death and destruction over small areas won/lost.

Plebiscites would allow Joe Biden’s “democracy” beliefs to go to work.

Why would the Russians believe Ukraine would honor a cease-fire. Just gives them time to resupply their weapons. Minsk 3?

What follows this is gonna be China to deliver weapons to Russia. After all the Ukraine president has already rejected any kind of peace negotiations out of hand

Ceasefires are only popular on the side that needs time to build up their supplies, weaponry and troops. OR unless a serious peace proposal is forthcoming. This won’t happen unless a serious proposal is on the table or one side is defeated.

Exactly.
It is obvious that the Bidung administration does not want peace. They want to punish Russia for saying perversion is a sin.

Call me paranoid, but I think I know what comes next. If China puts forth a realistic peace plan that both sides can agree to? Zelensky will get a call to reject it. OR ELSE.

Russia is still in 1 piece, and Putin is still in charge. They CAN’T let peace happen. (If Zelensky DOES accept it, and the fighting looks like it’s going to stop, look for things in Russia to mysteriously start blowing up while Ukrainian passports are dropped at the site).

With China he knows his ass is grass and it’s about to get mowed.
He’s going to take the money and build his empire some place.

Right. A ceasefire until Russia attacks again.
