Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has reintroduced a bill that would force an audit of all military aid the United States has sent Ukraine since the Russian invasion one year ago.
Greene’s legislation comes as the U.S. has committed tens of billions of dollars in military assistance since Russia invaded Ukraine last February. The Georgia Republican introduced the resolution of inquiry in the House on Friday, marking the one-year anniversary of the invasion.
“It’s going to force Congress to give the American people an audit,” Greene told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Thursday. “And that is exactly what the American people need, an audit of Ukraine, because we have no idea where all this money’s going.”
Greene’s resolution calls on President Joe Biden, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken to hand over all documents or financial statements detailing “purchases, recipients, and government expenditures” that were “directed to the nation of Ukraine — whether in regard to military, civilian, or financial aid,” according to a copy of the resolution obtained by the Washington Examiner.
The resolution requests all financial documents recorded between Jan. 20, 2021, before the invasion, to Friday, the anniversary of the start of the war. The request directs information to be handed over within the next 14 days.

I’m sure it’s all on the up and up. Democrats would never ever use an untracked multi hundreds of billion dollars as a personal slush fund. The money would be so tight on the Ukraine side that any missing billions would Shirley be noticed
The simple fact that there isn’t already an immediate and publicly auditable trail of every congressionally approved expenditure should be an outrage.
Every time the government cuts a check, there should be a public record of that fact, in real time. We have that technology.
Except there are very few checks written in the case of military aid to Ukraine. It’s an inventory event.
This is absolutely necessary.
May God protect Marjorie Taylor Greene. Amen.

I am so sorry this posted so many times. I only meant to post it once of course and my computer button was stuck and I don’t really even know how it posted so many times because it was not showing that it posted at all.
So sorry again.
But I am so thankful for Ms. Greene.
She is AWESOME
Has H&R Block gone Woke yet, or are they still a good place for tax and accounting help, regardless of your political party?
.
For the first 2.5 yrs (including Pre-Election), Matt Gaetz and Rudy were the only ones publicly speaking of Hunter Biden.
Both found themselves targets of Federal Prosecutors.
If Greene persists, bad things will come her way.
Compare a Millionaire with a million dollars to a Billionaire (with a Billion), the Billionaire has 1,000 times more money.
We are talking hundreds of Billions here.
Greene is not asking for a audit, H.Res.158 states:
"Of inquiry requesting the President and directing the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State to transmit, respectively, certain documents to the House of Representatives relating to congressionally appropriated funds to the nation of Ukraine from January 20, 2021 to February 24, 2023."This is a data dump of all record the Executive has on Ukraine from the start of Biden's term of office to the day the bill was submitted. For a moment ignore the hypocritical cesspool DC is, or Biden is a Democrat above all the rules like the Clintons. There have been no hearings, testimony, or evidence before congress on problems with aiding Ukraine. There is no crime under investigation by congress related to Ukraine. This transgresses Executive Privilege for no reason that has yet been established before Congress."Resolved, That the President is requested, and the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State are directed, to transmit, respectively, to the House of Representatives, not later than 14 days after the date of the adoption of this resolution, copies of all documents, charts, or tables, including notes from meetings, audio recordings, records (including telephone and email records), correspondence, and other communications, and any financial statements detailing purchases, recipients, and government expenditures to the extent that any such one or more items are within the possession of the President or Secretaries aforementioned, respectively, and refer or relate to congressionally appropriated funds directed to the nation of Ukraine—whether in regard to military, civilian, or financial aid—between January 20, 2021 to February 24, 2023."
Biden gets a easy win, the Republicans look dumb. We don't want that.
Second, all the legislation for Ukraine has accountability built in. 16% of the pages for the May 2022 Ukraine appropriations was accountability for where money and resources went (link). If there really is a problem, using the language of the bills on accountability is the place to start. The administration will have a harder time blocking congress from accounting its own legislation.
For those opposed to US aid to Ukraine because they think we should stay out of it (and the few hoping Russia wins), I just explained a better way. Otherwise this is dead end obstructionism. Fair enough?
Samantha Powers has already done her 2 day audit and declared everything on the up and up.
Nothing to see here. No sir-ree Bob. Republicans are just ‘pouncing ‘ and threatening our democracy
Good idea!
Good news...
