Perhaps the Malaysian 777 pilot was intelligent enough to know that Boeing could not be sued if the cause of the crash was obvious pilot malice?

To my eye, the two 737 MAX crashes in Ethiopia and Indonesia in 2019 qualify as obvious Muslim malice.

The 737 MAX flew tens of thousands of scheduled flights for 18 months in Europe, North America, Japan, Australia and NZ, and the Persian Gulf, without even one incident report related to the allegedly defective software and equipment.

Somehow, with two Muslims in both cockpits, the Ethiopia and Indonesia 737 MAX jets suddenly went nose first, at a high rate of speed, straight into the ground or water. The two planes essentially disintegrated into small pieces, as did all the bodies.

Probably the two crashes were more due to incompetence than malice. Pilots on PPrune seem to lean in that direction.

I cannot think of any other scenario than the one discussed for MAL 370 but why is this coming out now, that was the leading theory years ago?

Oh I'm just poking a little fun at the use of "Occam's razor". I think murder/suicide is probably the most likely scenario considering the pilot used his home flight sim to essentially plan to run out of fuel over the Indian Ocean. We'll never know why he did it, or why he wanted it to look like a crash. Jihadis typically want everyone to know they died a martyr for allah.
