By any standard, the treatment of January 6 defendants has been a disgrace to the Department of Justice, the DC federal bench, and the Constitution. Scores of people have been held in inhumane conditions in the DC Gulag, denied their constitutional right to speedy trial, and denied access to exculpatory evidence. The blanket media coverage excoriating them as “violent insurrectionists” has prevented these constitutional outrages from becoming a national scandal.
But there is a chance, a small chance, that the release of CCTV Capitol video by Speaker McCarthy may change the national consensus (other than in conservative media) that there is nothing to see here, they are getting what they deserve. One such instance powered by the video release is the case of Daniel Goodwin, who faces federal prison via DOJ prosecutors.
Goodwin’s "crime" was simply walking through an open door into the Capitol, spending less than a minute inside, and immediately leaving when asked to do so by a Capitol policeman.

The Big Guy’s Department of Just Us will prosecute...and a DC jury will convict. However,with the videos that have just recently been released he just might find justice...*true* justice...from the appeals courts.

As long as the person is GUILTY of committing a crime. Where is the crime to serve as warning to others other than exercising one’s first amendment rights?
Would love to see Republicans use the same balls — and now precedent — to act upon Antifa and leftist rioters and trespassers with the same intensity when they come back into power.

The money and resources used to hunt down, incarcerate and prosecute these “criminals” is beyond belief. And, probably more importantly, with what we learned from the J6 recordings (not “tapes”) and the discoveries of the wrong doings of the FBI and DOJ in the Proud Boys prosecutions, the actions of the Federal Government against it’s citizens is reprehensible and illegal.
Nobody seems to know where to go to remedy this, since historically relief was found in the courts. But now that we know that the courts are as deeply corrupted as the rest of the government, I’m afraid we’re on the eve of another major revolution.

Remember, when Code Pink or any other leftists want to storm into the capitol to protest, it’s the “peoples’ house” and they can refuse to leave and even resist being dragged out, and it’s not a crime.
Exactly: that's also why there is such screaming about "election deniers" even though the Dems and their media denied that both Bush's and Trump's elections were legitimate.

A former federal prosecutor wrote a book in which he showed that there are so many—malleable—federal laws that the average person—i.e., you—violate several each day.
So you could be prosecuted, like this guy has been. Not because you have done anything wrong. But just because you have come to the attention of the deep state, and they decide you “deserve” it.
Are the antifa/fbi window breakers and pipe bomb backpack depositors in court?
I expect that none of them are in custody.
