Trump paid dearly to effectively exercise his Amendment I rights.

Free speech can be costly, as can freedom.

It’s a NDA, not a campaign contribution. Corporations pay NDAs All the time. The Manhattan DA’s office has too. Every US attorney’s office has when they hire people or remove people and give them a severance or whatever. And of course this is from a prosecutor who doesn’t prosecute other people.

It was shut up and go away money. $125,000 to a billionaire is like $50 to you and I. It wasn’t a large cost.

It’s very similar to the non-compete agreement I sign for my employer. I had to sign it in order to receive six months severance pay.

just when did it become illegal to pay a blackmailer? It’s not.

This is a major nothingburger.
