"is the new Micron facility going to be near Global Foundries existing fab in Noo Yawk?" I don't know. I don't live there, But years ago I remember that IBM had a fab near Plattsburgh. Is that where Global Foundries is? I googled it and it says the new Micron fab will be near Syracuse.

I think IBM had one facility in New York, that became Global Foundries.
