Lol! Yes, these companies like Ford and GM are idiots. Tesla actually had a plan that works. Tesla's plan was to make luxury sports cars for the rich at a profit, then use that money to build luxury sedans for the rich at a profit, then make cheaper cars for a profit. They stuck to the plan over years, making cars more efficiently and reducing prices all while making huge profits.

A good plan is to increase volume on profitable cars. Ford and GM are losing thousands on each EV they sell, because they refuse to sell them at a price that is more than what it costs them to build.
