Looks like he’s violating the NY ban on large sugary sodas. That could be a five year sentence.

You may be right, although it could be a mere diversion from the Big Important Other Stuff they’re supposed to be doing.

That's actually a good tax. As long as you vote for it, of course. But there's no need for you to drink 40 Oz of coca-cola. And that's what they decided in New York City. If you're against it in Texas, that's fine too. But we need to look at large sugary sodas the same way we did with cigarettes.

If this was the other way around some would be cheering the "go away Feds" stance and promote State's rights as a local municipality prosecutes said corrupt democrat.

Trump had a very egotistical womanizing past (While being a registered democrat for the most part). The past always bites you in the ass despite repentance or forgiveness, especially in the political world. Dems taking advantage of stupid voters and Constitutional law/Division of Power. Precisely why our Constitution could only be maintained with humble, ethical, stoic, and Christian moraly bound individuals. Harmony and order stuff, gets harder with an intellectual heterogenous cluster f* we have now.

That’s quite a stretch, imo.

There’s no unified leadership of the Democratic party like there seemed to be in days gone by. I can’t recall anything as potentially dangerous for backlash getting this far before. Here we have the political equivalent of an ant attacking an elephant. You’d think the Democratic party functionaries would try to quash this proposed indictment behind the scenes, and possibly they did. The attack itself is over something mind-numbingly stupid. Recall what happened when the GOP went after Clinton for lying. Yes, he did it. Yes, it was legal and perhaps morally justified, but it cost the GOP the next election. It was stupid.

Almost every DAs office receives federal money of some kind. Since money is fungible, it stands to reason that some federal funds are utilized in this case. That could give Congress a reason to investigate. Accepting federal funds always comes with strings…

Feel free to be boiled slowly but most free Americans would prefer not to give the government control over every aspects of our lives. I am amazed at what I read on FR these days. Liberty for under 40 ozs.

True.
But Bragg’s “marathon” would take him about twenty-five feet
before he falls face first into the Popeye’s carryout order he was eating as he ran.

I would probably vote against the sugary tax but if people want to vote for it, then go for it. As long as it is not federal.

You send the itemized budget to the GAO and if there is an issue of criminal elements get the DOJ/FBI to come at them, either way, Congress (Only HOR in this case) bye-bye along with piss off, Division of Power and all that.

If this would’ve been a conservative or even Steve Bannon, I guarantee you all the DC FBI DOJ all the law-enforcement would’ve gone after Steve Bannon and dragged him in chains in front of Congress. Can you imagine anybody on our side tell that to the Democrat evil rat party when they had control of that chamber to go stick it up there where the sun don’t shine? All hell would’ve broken loose. And you would’ve seen, that person’s picture 24/7 on every fake news outlet. I hate them to the core! Laws for you but not for me. The double standard is really appalling!
