After Austria and Hungary, Bulgaria has also joined the minority group of European Union countries that refuse to send weapons to Ukraine, news and opinion portal Mandiner reports [link at URL].

Bulgaria has declared that it will not take part in the EU’s joint ammunition purchase program, nor will it supply fighter jets or tanks to Ukraine, Euronews reports. Bulgarian President Rumen Radev is under enormous pressure from opposition parties, but he has said he stands by his position. ...

Although many of its Western allies accuse Hungary of siding with Russia in the war based on its firm stance of not sending weapons to Ukraine, last December Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that his government is simply on the side of the Hungarians.

Orbán argued that while it is important to his government that Russia poses no security threat, continued economic relations are essential for not only Hungary but also the entire European economy.

Obviously Hungary, Austria, Bulgaria, and Belarus, along with India, 2/3 of Africa, about 1/2 of South America, and other nations being neutral and/or buying oil from Russia are pro-Putin by not sabotaging their economies and aligning with an idea similar tocontinued economic relations are essential for not only Hungary but also the entire European economy. Orban’s that “continued economic relations are essential for not only Hungary but also the entire European economy.”

Then again, being against Saddam but wanting to stay out of Iraq makes you pro-Saddam, and the same for those saying we shouldn’t occupy Syria...they obviously support Assad! Plus, we had to make NATO break its charter by attacking Libya... wouldn’t want to be pro-Gaddafi now would you? Who cares if Libya is worse now than before! Couldn’t have Africa under one African currency.

To the last Urkainian is truly so anti-Putin and a proxy war no way helps the MIC. Nevvver. /sarcasm.

Don’t worry, the Orkrainians are winning.

As another here said, Putin is on his deathbed, the entire Russian male population has been killed in action, Russia has no more artillery and has resorted to using catapults, and is on the verge of collapsing as western media tells me so!

Ukraine is now well known throughout the western world for acting like a leech and a demanding parasite, always banging it’s cup down, asking for more.

LOL So the Bulgarian state will not sell or supply arms to Ukraine. Private Bulgarian arms companies have been reaping a bonanza, however.

Bulgaria is probably the nation experiencing the highest percentage of population loss, all the productive people are leaving. It’s actually becoming a haven for retirees from across the globe.

That’s why they say in 20-30 years, they’ll be few Bulgarians left in Bulgaria.

Regardless, Zelensky’s latest damning admission the Orkranians are not winning:

In an interview with Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun he candidly declared that “We do not have ammunition. For us the situation in the East is not good.”

Zelensky’s admission adds credence to what the Washington Post recently reported regarding how poorly Kiev’s forces are faring in this conflict, especially its “severe ammunition shortages” that one of its sources spoke about.

If I were the Russians and remembered how Zelensky played the information game before their September counter-offensive, then I would not stake the future on the Ukrainian president’s public statement of how beaten down they are and sort of helpless.

Both sides are hoping for the same thing: get the other side to waste men and materiel, the Ukrainians to weaken opposition to a possible offensive, the Russians to forestall one. The Ukrainians have raised six new brigades, some of them with enough battalions to almost reach division strength. They are all volunteers, and they have been sending conscripts or second rate troops to hold ground in Bakhmut, at least until recently, because the troops there have been complaining about it. A cruel strategy, but it may be effective. How well trained and equipped the new brigades are I don’t know.
