They did the same thing to Tom DeLay. He won, but it took years and they kept him out of office in the meantime because he was a ham sandwich under indictment.
So when do republicans start playing hardball?
In 2014, Texas Gov. Rick Perry was indicted on trumped up charges by a liberal DA, fingerprinted, and forced to take a mugshot, destroying his presidential campaign.
———————————————————
Yeah, no. His presidential campaign was essentially destroyed by his one-word answer to a question about the Department of Education .
“Oops.”

Republicans? The day after never is most likely the soonest. However, Trump is Trump more than he’s a Republican. I highly doubt he will go down without putting up one hell of a fight.
It’s not fair that President Trump has been indicted and charged, yet there was another presidential candidate who was under FBI investigation for crimes committed. Twice investigated during their campaign.
But never charged.
So when do republicans start playing hardball?
**************
They won’t or can’t because it will turn off all those suburban women and independents, that never vote Republican anyway.(sarcasm)
Plus they don’t have the balls to defund urban America.(Which would get the liberals attention, real quick)
What I don’t have grant money & nonprofit employment to leach off anymore?
“Nope, those days are over, time to become a productive member of society.”
I really liked Rick Perry in 2012. Hoping he would’ve gone farther than he did. He was definitely preferable to Mitt Romney.
Agreed 100%
Just remember, this so-called “indictment” is basically the same thing as their so-called “impeachment”. Both are nothing more than a formal accusation.
As with the phony impeachment, this phony indictment will go no further and those forwarding this nonsense will probably find themselves before a judge soon enough.
The weaponizing of the criminal justice system will have to be dealt with. The depth and breadth of the efforts to “get Trump” was unheard of in modern American politics.
This is not the hardball we should play.
You indict us? Abolish the Department of Education.
Next indictment? Abolish the FBI.
Next indictment? Abolish the IRS.
Next indictment? Pick another one. Etc etc.
Tit for tat indictments feels nice, oh yeah, it feels real cuddly and satisfying. It’s absolutely useless.
To hurt a progressive, you have to do damage to what they worship. What to progressives worship?
Government.
One indictment deserves one abolished bureaucracy. That’s the move if you want it to stop.
Rick Perry was a good Governor.
I grew up 14 miles from his family, have never met Rick, he is younger than I am. I know his mother and knew his father.
He made mistakes, but what human does not make mistakes.
Now, What does the BBC know about anything?
Lets focus on the ongoing Communist/Globalist Cabal Coup, and restore the Constitution.
#Restore_the_Constitution!
It is TIME to #DownSize_DC!
It's TIME to #DownSize_DC!
Restore the Constitution!Size DC!
Republicans? Never.
We the people, perhaps soon.
Mr 3 departments.
The Democrats talk about justice. They’re a bad joke.
Do the Washington Generals play hardball against the Harlem Globetrotters?
Yup. He was looking credible up until that moment. Amazing how a single slip can trash a Republican candidate, yet a gaffe a minute biden goes unmolested by the press and fails his way to the top.
