American singer, songwriter, and rapper Kid Rock posted a video Monday night of him shooting cases of Bud Light in response to Anheuser-Busch featuring trans TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney as the spokesperson for the beer.

In the video, Rock faces the camera and says, “Grandpa is feeling a little frisky today. Let me say something to all of you and be as clear and concise as possible.”

The rapper then turns and opens fire on several cases of Bud Light set up as targets at a distance, pulverizing them.

Bud Light, it’s the beer if you’re queer. Actually, I’d guess most non-flamers won’t touch it. Natty is better, made from leftovers of real beer.

It appears the heads of these major corporations and banks are no longer looking at the bottom line or the best interests of their share holders. Common sense say they should cater to their market base, not offend them. The political garbage they get in college must severely outweigh anything business related.

Bud can go straight to hell.

The decision to make Mulvaney a spokesthing for Miller Light makes no sense. Does AB think that a large number of beer drinkers support transgenderism? Unlikely. More likely they knew they were running into a buzz saw of outrage, criticism and boycotts of their products. There was no outside pressure campaign to do this, so why? I have an idea but would like to hear what others think.

“Gone are the days of Don Draper and Mad Men.”

Good point. It was interesting to see the process they used before deciding on a campaign — including what we’d call “woke” now. Target audience was huge. Draper would’ve nixed this Bud ad in the first five minutes. The issue about cigarettes was interesting.

Bud, the Queen of Beers. An example of the latest ‘woke’ company about to take a severe financial hit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, and I for one will help make that a reality.
Like dealing with a lot of huge companies, it’s sometimes difficult to know who they all own and how far reaching the tentacles are… if you want to avoid Budweiser, that’s just one of a gazillion brands.
Anheuser-Busch (AB InBev) is the largest beer company in the world. It had 200 brands prior to being merged with SABMiller (2016)….. they were already the largest beermaker in the world prior to the merger. They now have about 630 brands in 150 countries. If somebody wants, they can post the diagram of ABInBev’s mergers and acquisitions prior to the 2016. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AB_InBev
Feel like posting the list on your refrigerator so that you know what all to avoid? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AB_InBev_brands Here is but a sampling of the most well known ones in the United States and Canada…
Budweiser, Busch, Corona Shock Top, Stella Artois, Becks, Hoegararden, Lowenbrau, Keith’s, Foster’s, Lakeport, Labatt’s, Michelob, Mill Street… and as you can see on the list, that’s just for a start....
Kid Rock has been around for years and no one can crucify him. They’ve tried and he loves it.
He’s a self made multi millionaire living in a double wide and hates everything about the left.
Bud makes terrible beer but a lot of conservatives drink it. I suspect their sales will take a hit.
Kid Rock has multiple times FU money. He couldn’t care less about past and possible new attempts to cancel him. He’s let the world know it. Did a great interview with Tucker Carlson.
Anheuser-Busch InBev has approximately 630 beer brands in 150 countries. It is controlled by Belgian families Vandamme, de Mévius and de Spoelberch, who as of 2015 owned a combined 28.6% of the company, and Brazilian investors Jorge Paulo Lemann, Carlos Alberto Sicupira and Marcel Telles, who owned 22.7% through their private investment firm 3G Capital.
In other words, as long as operating income remains strong across their portfolio of other beer brands, they'll remain wealthy.
Thus, this is a marketing test. Someone probably said "you know, this trans thing seems to be taking off. And kids are the future of our product. What if we went all-in with a splashy advertisement? Sure, we will lose customers but we already lost people due to gluten allergies, and the remainder are aging GenX and boomers. Maybe, net-net-net, we will capture the hearts and wallets of the GenZers."
Kid Rock is not cancelable. Legions of MAGA fans. Very unique artist. Can share the stage w/ Hank Jr. or Cheryl Crowe. Last I was aware, Kid Rock lives in a manufactured home on a mountain top around Nashville. Said he had a mansion once w a movie theatre and used it once.
It was super crude, but probably 20 years ago Kid Rock married some blonde actress from a show where she ran around half naked on a beach the entire time. Bimbo type, but famous.
They were married 90 days and broke up.
When asked if he was upset he replied “no, I did all I needed to do with her and was done, so Im fine with that.”
Horrible, but it always struck me as funny.
“Does AB think that a large number of beer drinkers support transgenderism?”
_______
Especially the beer drinkers who would drink Bud light. We are talking about construction workers, manufacturing plant employees, etc, who grab a case of Bud on the way home from work on Friday evening. They will just switch to Miller Lite (about the same type of beer). Yeah, these are not your transcrazy supporters.
Boxed Bud?
I remember purposely skunked Heineken beer balls, boxed beer probably can’t accumulate too much pressure build up, unless the bladder is shaped and seamless.
Interesting....
National Bohemian? My dad (king of cheap beers), purchased that sometimes. My piney cousin’s all drank Stroh’s back when it was produced in Detroit. I come from a long line of bohunks...
“Buying the merchandise and then destroying it doesn’t hurt Budweiser’s feelings. Taking it back and getting a refund hurts them where it matters. They only feel it in the profit book.”
You don’t buy beer, you rent it.
