Not a chance he’ll win in the current Dem party. Might he eventually spin off as part of an independent ticket in the general? That would not be good.

Yeah, he’s not the type of Kennedy they like. Actually, JFK was relatively conservative by Dem standards and there’s always speculation that this was his doom. LBJ, despite being a Texan, was much more of a statist.
