I don't believe the Kennedy name carries the same influence it had 40-60 years ago. You would have to be a Baby Boomer or older to remember the family and its influence. To Generation X and younger, the most they may recall is the scandals around the younger Kennedys. RFK, Jr., is an anti-vaxxer and runs with conspiracists, positions anathema to most leftists. I don't think he will have a chance in the primaries, even against Biden.

There are a lot of Black people today who grew up with pictures of JFK in their parents’ or grandparents’ houses, along with pictures of MLK. I think the Kennedy name still carries a lot of weight with many of them.
(I can’t recall any pictures of LBJ enshrined in houses, though...)
