Team DeSantis Focused on Creating Astroturf Attendance for 2024 Campaign Rallies

As team Ron DeSantis prepares for the national launch of a 2024 presidential bid, one of the campaign’s primary areas of concern is the need to create optics representing support and momentum.

The Republican presidential primary was always expected to revolve around Trump. But post-indictment, as Republicans rally to his defense — including, crucially, conservative talkers on Fox News — Trump’s opponents are confronting an even more damaging dynamic in race: Their inability to break through at all.

I like DeSantis but he needs to push something else besides just being anti-woke. I mean this as no offense (I’m including Trump when I say this) Most elected republicans are just 10 years behind “woke liberals” anyways.

That’s ridiculous I think most voters are willing to give him a listen. He’s going to be in SC on 4/19, I will go if it doesn’t cost. It is looking like this whole election won’t matter anyway, though. Why would they let us have a fair election?

DeSantis is one of the most effective politicians I have ever seen. What he’s done in Florida is astounding. I would, seriously, much rather have him as president than Trump.

That said, I don’t think he’ll go anywhere in the primaries except 2nd place. Trump will just damage or even crush him.

Ron needs to wait his “turn.” They all do.

Crowd size was Trump’s thing. DeSantis is wasting time trying to chase that. He’s not nearly as entertaining or charismatic. Emulating Trump’s style is not a path to success. He needs to be himself especially if people are looking for an alternative to Trump. If he’s letting Trump dictate the terms of what leadership looks like, he’s not the one we need in 2024.

And Trump will fail if he’s the nominee. There’s too much chaos there for general voters and he’ll also drive up Democrat turnout

Karl Rove and the Bushes are desperately pushing DeSantis to challenge Trump.

Ron needs to wait until 2028, and punt the neo-con, war-mongering RINOs out of his orbit.

If having RINOs in his orbit is bad, then why is Trump hiring Jeb Bush people to run his 2024 campaign in New Hampshire?

“And in pleas to donors, he has been pitching himself as a low-drama version of Trump. “

and there’s the problem with DeSantis (and all other politicians) right there: they have to pitch some version of how they want people to perceive them, and that “pitch” varies from group to group ... so you never know what the real person really is and what the real person really believes ... in fact, is there even a real person there? ... in other words, politicians are inauthentic, and anyone really paying attention easily senses that ...

none of that is the case with trump ... it’s a simple matter of trump is trump ... he saves and does the exact same things regardless of the audience ... he’s been 100% consistent since he came down the elevator ... even before that actually, if you’ve ever seen the TV interviews of him decades before he ran for President ... and when he was President, EVERY action was exactly what he said he was going to do ... trump never flip-flopped, trump never kowtow to the media or his political enemies ... in fact, trump went full bore attack against his enemies ... trump in fact always set the agenda in his elections, and was such a powerful personality that he sucked all the political oxygen out of the room and out of the media, leaving his opponents looking like the Lilliputians they really were ...

in the pantheon of U.S. politicians, Trump is completely unique in history ...

furthermore, anyone who has paid attention to politics in the U.S. immediately recognizes that uniqueness, and actual conservatives, whether they be rich or poor, respond to Trump like he’s an ice cold drink of water they stumbled across while crawling around in the middle of the Sahara desert ...

?

Trump accomplished more positive results for America in one 4yr term than any President in your lifetime...
And he didn't have to do it by threatening to impose taxes on Disney customers.

I don’t know who put that into your head, but it is a lie, a deception, Trump is the strongest GOP candidate. Don’t be fooled by MSM and talking heads...primary results will bear this out, when he wins easily...Desantis as no shot, it only takes 1% point for Trump to win do you really think a guy losing his home state as a shot? use your head...for any poll to even suggest such, means his bid is DOA.

Even if Trump should win, the establishment will just double down on removing him

We’ve already seen the depths they are willing to sink to to destroy him

It will be worse a second time

DeSantis has a “team”.

Any candidate with a “team” means they have Swamp talk poured into their ears every single strategy meeting.

All the talk about fundraising is about increasing pay for the “team”. Not ads. Staff. Aspiring Swamp dwellers.

DeSantis can get votes if he stands up and says he thinks all GOP incumbents with over 8 years in office need to be voted out. And say the same thing about Democrat incumbents, too.

That would get him some Dem votes to go with Trump votes.

What are the odds of him attacking the Swamp in such a manner?

Zero. About the same odds as beating Trump with anything else he might have to say.

People need to remember two important things:

Trump did not win the popular vote in 2016. What he won were Obama voters in the important 3 states. He didn’t increase GOP turnout. He got Independents who had voted Obama. They are not GOP voters. They are not going to sign on to a non Trump nominee.

The GOP ideology is not the majority of the US. Build the Wall and Drain the Swamp . . . IS the majority of the US. DeSantis swaggering out to a microphone to talk about taxes and spending will sway no voters.

He or his advisers are pretty crappy. Need more wisdom or gut feeling that resonates with most Americans. Desani not quite there yet.

That said, I don’t think he’ll go anywhere in the primaries except 2nd place. Trump will just damage or even crush him.

Primary season is by far the most fun to be had in politics. DeSantis is walking a tightrope, and taking a very low-key approach to his campaign so far. Hard to tell, but it doesn't look like he's really planning on a full-on challenge to Trump at the present time, but more of a pro-forma effort to both raise his national profile, make some "free" mistakes, land a few blows on his likely 2028 challenger Gavin Newsom, and generally be seen as a more presentable, cleaned-up Trump when the time comes. That said, Trump is best when he has a solid opponent to punch against. He's more focused, more aggressive, and not unimportantly, hilariously mean.

We've already seen it with DeSantis. "Meatball Ron" is puerile and silly, even juvenile, but also comic genius. The next few months until the convention should be lit!

With the current state of fraud, I don’t think anybody will win on the GOP side.
