Twitter has removed the “US state-affiliated media” label from National Public Radio’s official account and has instead replaced it with “Government Funded Media.”
The change was made after the social media site was widely criticized for giving NPR the designation.
Defenders of NPR — who were angry over comparisons to other state-run outlets such as Russia Today and China’s Xinhua News Agency — noted last week that while the station does take some funding from the government, it has full editorial independence.

NPR fighting against the truth exposing that they receive government funding. The percentage doesn’t matter, that FACT is, they receive government funding on the national and state level.
PERIOD.

Could they at the same time refuse to take any US Gov’t money and be REAL Independent... Might consider leaving Facebook as well.

They could do a Bud Light Beer commercial that could probably draw in some income. There are a lot of Trans people who are NOT doing their share of drinking beer. This could bring in some needed cash.

I sincerely doubt Elon removed the designation because of criticism. If anything, he does stuff because it’s fun.
