Optics. Presidents don’t go to tornado and hurricane sites to save the day. Tough times require a leader, a show of solidarity. Also, put a spotlight on what you see as important. This is why a bunch of “American Leaders” show up in Ukraine and why having someone at the border would be appreciated. In Desanctimonius doesn’t get this, he shouldn’t be running for President. Of course that won’t stop him because like the other politicians power is all they care about.
DeSantis was traveling to Ohio today when he should have gone a month ago. He continues to put people of Florida LAST.
He should have canceled his trip & been there for people who are struggling in Fort Lauderdale after flooding.
But no he continues on and does a second show in Ohio.
He’ll also be at Liberty University tomorrow before heading off to New Hampshire.
How long is the going to go on for? 2 years? He was just reelected 5 months ago.

As an aside I typed the above sentence without a comma after the ‘furthermore’. The grammar checker flagged that until I added the comma. Is the lack of a comma really bad grammar?
I was 10 miles away from the Ft. Laud airport that afternoon. I was in that zone 3 hours and not all day. It was raining. It rains in Florida. I saw one intersection with the signals out. I believe an isolated area was hugely drenched. But it wasn’t a Florida disaster or a national disaster. My Ft.Laud friends tell me it wasn’t a big deal.

I was in the Swamps 45 miles North of that area today, the water level is only marginally higher that Tuesday when I was also there.
