Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Thursday defended 21-year-old Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira, the accused leaker of highly sensitive Pentagon intelligence documents, and said he’s being treated by the Biden administration “like a traitor and criminal.”
“Jake Teixeira is white, male, Christian, and antiwar. That makes him an enemy to the Biden regime,” Greene (R-Ga.) wrote in a tweet.
Greene, who is staunchly against the US providing military aid to Ukraine as it attempts to fend off a Russian invasion, has called the Biden administration’s role in the conflict in the former Soviet state “a proxy war with Russia.”
The Georgia Republican on Thursday praised Teixeira for telling “the truth” about President Biden “waging war” in Ukraine, suggesting that the Biden administration is “the real enemy.”

Bravo. Our Government is lying to us.
Going to war without approval from Congress is something every one needed to know about.

I don’t care if he had the proper level of security clearance, all I am saying if he did, that is pure stupidity.
No 20-year-old should have the keys to the kingdom. And any keys they do have should be very limited and monitored by trusted security experts. If these files were supposed to be truly top-level security classified, any access by anyone should have at least a decade of trust behind them.
And all the information should be segmented and protected where you would have to breach multiple security levels to have access to the full information. But government security is a joke. And allowing a kid to have easy access to our supposely deepest secrets because he worked in IT is pathetic.

Amen to that! Ukraine does not matter to our country. If it wins or loses it’s war with Russia is really none of our concern. I’m tired of the USA putting it’s nose into every damn thing. The cold war is over. There is no global threat to turn one country after another into a communist state. We should pack up and leave almost everywhere we have troops.
A smart person would ask the really important questions. Such as what countries are actually that important that we would want to defend them? What countries are actual threats where we might want to forward position bases, troops and equipment? I’m of the opinion that the answer to the first question could be counted on one hand. Countries like Britain, Australia and Japan for sure. As for the other question, probably Russia and China, if for no other reason than their stockpile of nukes. So maybe we keep a base in Poland. And maybe we keep some bases around China. After that ask the navy what we need around the world for logistics and then pack up and leave the rest of the globe. That’s what I think would be most popular with the average citizen. No more stupid wars okay?
The New York Post used the pejorative “Far-right” about Marjorie Taylor Greene? Disappointing. I expect that stuff from The New York Times, CNN, MSNBC or a million other rags.
True. What this leak showed was that every level of government is lying their ass off about Ukraine in almost every single particular. I, for one support this leaker, and MTG. The U.S. government has become the largest criminal cabal on the planet.
Who gives a damn? The government is lying to us in a massive way and these documents show that. They SHOULD be leaked.

She is dead wrong on this. I don’t care what race, sex, religion, party affiliation, etc. that someone is or has, if they release classified information to the public (or give it to any foreign country), they should go to prison. Well, I’d prefer a firing squad, but that’s frowned upon lately.
Pretty much everyone that I know believes the same (except for the firing squad bit, but still more than half agree), so MTG is on the absolute wrong side of this issue.

I don’t know what the appropriate punishment for Teixeira is, but someone above him should be in a whole heap of trouble.
It should be noted Washington post and New York Times published the leaks first in order to help ID the leaker
