I have been a Star Wars fan for literally my entire life. I was three when the first movie came out. Star Wars has been one of the dominant elements of my time on this earth. It figured in how I proposed to my (now ex) wife and when I ran for office a few years later I had a campaign TV ad that had some fun with my love of the saga.

It's absolutely shocked me how little I care for Star Wars now. Not just how Disney has bungled some things with it directly, it's Disney being hellbent on shoving wokery down our throats and not giving a damn about insulting their core audience.

I will forever have my Star Wars collection of stuff pre-Disney. But I'm not going to be getting Disney+ just to watch The Mandalorian. The thrill is gone. Disney killed it. And I suspect it's done that to a lot of people.

Yep...I was also a huge Star Wars nerd.

When Episode 8 came out all the magic was gone. No regard to established canon, storyline, etc. and all of the woke garbage to boot.
