I do have a lot if facial hair growth, so the double edged blades are good for my main razor.
But in a hurry I agree with you, the store brand blades are as good or better than Gillette. And better on the wallet
Long ago, decades ago, I tried one of those double edged razors, the type pictured above, and I thought I was going to cut my throat. Couldn’t get the hang of it. Scared me so much I haven’t tried one again.
