You are absolutely correct. I’m sure if you breakdown the stats you’ll find the vast majority of these “children” are big city gang bangers killing each with a healthy dose of innocent kids caught in the crossfire.
Anymore, these “children “ are 14 year old gang bangers doing the gun thefts and shootings on order of older thugs
Considering Obamacare redefined “child” to be 26 I am dubious of these statistics.
However the problem race has been very busy shooting themselves.
Yep, an 18 yr old is not a ‘child’. Just like 20+ yr. old black males are not ‘teens’.
The gun grabbers have been using that exact same lie since the early 90’s.
They deliberately conflate “ minors” with “children”. There are almost no children killed with guns, which has always been the case. Adolescent males, most of whom are of a single demographic start to experience rising homicide rates at ~13 years of age, but not getting really crazy until the late teens.
Subtract that single demo, and the US looks like every other advanced nation.
Wonder why the press hasn’t discovered this.
I was looking at the stats awhile ago. Up to age 14 death by car accidents was MUCH higher than gun related deaths. I could not dial in on the gang-banger deaths from 14 to 18, but I imagine that would account for many of them.
I also found that in big cities (Chicago, LA, NYC, etc.) about half of all homicides are gang related.
Oh - leading cause of death among “children” 18 and younger is still accidents of all types.
In 2022, 40 children were killed in school shootings. I think that included ones where it was just one child being shot (and those often over a gang argument).
There was some idiot on social media claiming that the majority of children killed by guns were in school mass shootings.
