It’s amazing to me how ppl don’t appreciate or comprehend the finality and ripple/followon effects of violent actions.
It damages people and families for decades. They never show that in the media or movies.
This is why I’ve always been a supporter of victim impact statements. PPL need to realize life isn’t a movie.
It’s also one of the reasons I’m in favor of the death penalty and swift, public executions.
Life matters -so make it matter.

It will be interesting to see what the defense of the homeowner will be.
The article said he would not come out of his house for an hour or so once police arrived.
I wonder if the homeowner may have realized what a horrific mistake he made and was coming to grips with it when the police arrived.

A sad truth.
In the movies/tv, they are usually quickly dead or has an arm in a sling the next day. No colostomy bags, wheelchairs, or years of therapy.
Because we all live inside our own reality, great numbers of people live in a reality shaped by movies/tv. Not real-world experience.
