Kyiv: Russian troops preparing to withdraw from the remaining part of Kherson region

Another "goodwill" gesture from the Russian troops can be expected in the near future.

Russians are preparing to withdraw from the remaining territories of the Kherson region, said the head of the Joint Press Center of the Ukrainian Defense Forces South, Natalia Humeniuk.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that collaborators in the Kherson region had already begun to flee. They were taken to Crimea by military trucks. Only hand luggage was allowed to be taken with them. At the same time, mass desertion began among the Russian troops.

As Humeniuk explained, Russian soldiers are literally sitting on their suitcases, packing, and sending the looted property to Russia, same as was before the withdrawal from Kherson. Putin's soldiers are changing into civilian clothes stolen from local residents. According to Humeniuk, Russian are afraid of the landing of Ukrainian troops and hope to leave before the Ukrainian Forces come.

"They are busy with the engineering arrangement of the defense lines and are trying to mine areas that may be dangerous for them. They are definitely preparing for the next goodwill gesture," said Humeniuk.

According to the Ukrainian military, the Russian troops on the on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region have not received any reinforcements.

This is not even particularly good Ukrainian propaganda.

I think there are too many twists and turns in this war. I’ll believe it when I see it.

I hope the Russians do withdraw, it will save thousands of Russian and Ukrainian lives

Propaganda is everywhere. I received a package from Ukraine yesterday. It was a big box, juryrigged and battered and taped and covered with stamps. About a dozen stamps on the box had an image of a Ukrainian tractor hauling a disabled Russian tank. Inside the box I found a thank you note with a discreet image of a man standing on an island, facing a battle ship at sea with his middle finger extended.

That ship was cruiser Moskva. Russia’s Black Sea fleet flagship. Ukrainians sinking it was a great morale booster and something that Russian propaganda couldn’t talk away because in the end the ship was at the bottom of the sea.

I think it was a reference to the Snake Island story, whether true or not, which preceded the Moskva sinking.

That’s true too. It was very fitting that the ship demanding the surrender of Snake Island was that same Moskva.

I believe the Snake Island story by itself would be forgotten, but what crowned it was that Moskva was actually sunk.

Russian propaganda services tried to deny it at first calling it “just a small fire because a sailor smoked where he was not supposed to” and had Moskva not sunk then a lot of people would believe it right now.

The “news” from NATO forces is just as phony as the transgenders they are fighting for. Killing innocent Ukrainians for the rainbow flag will be accounted one of the most disgraceful and evil actions ever.

The CIA sinking it

nope, you're wrong, Russia has already clearly stated that the Moskva sinking was purely an accident

oh wait ... are you saying Russia deliberately lied to the whole World??

well if Russia is a liar, then we can't really trust anything they say, can we?

LOL

The Russians are falling back to defend Crimea. The end is near and they know it.

Do you guys ever get tired of issuing nuclear threats on behalf of Russia? Does it disappoint you that for over a year Russia has not made good on any of your nuclear threats?

Ukraine's Offensive: Taking Territory vs. the War of Attrition

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for April 19, 2023

- Both Russia's and Ukraine's presidents visit front line troops in Kherson and the Donbass region respectively;

- Russian forces continue to gain ground in Bakhmut, pro-Ukrainian maps show the main rail station now under Russian control;

- Ukrainian general admits Russia carrying out airstrikes in Bakhmut further indicating an increasingly pivotal change in the nature of fighting in Russia's favor;

- Western analysis continues to paint a bleak picture regarding Ukraine's upcoming offensive, noting that even if it manages to succeed in taking territory, it does little to change the lopsided nature of what is actually a war of attrition Ukraine is losing;

- Former Western diplomats and military leaders have called for greater support for Ukraine, refusing to acknowledge the limits of Western military industrial output and Ukraine's ability to absorb weapon systems they are unfamiliar with;
