U.S. Says It’s Unsafe to Evacuate Citizens From Sudan

Sudan’s army chief said his troops would facilitate the evacuation of American, British, Chinese and French diplomats and citizens. But the U.S. Embassy said it was “not currently safe to undertake a U.S. government-coordinated evacuation of private U.S. citizens.”

Look, I hate to be over blunt, but these are all dual citizens. They got some paper somehow. Maybe they bribed an embassy officer. Maybe they were rich and Mom flew to Miami to drop them, anchor baby style. Maybe they did the student visa to greencard to citizenship route and returned to the motherland.

I have a lot more sympathy for the Afghan translators than the ruling class dual citizens who are on the wrong side of a civil war.

No American blood for paper-citizens of African nations. Enough already. Go fight for your own country.
