What I was reading and seeing on the news made it look like a nightmare in CA. I’m glad you, your wife and your pup had a more sane place to escape to. It was bad enough here, with our governor caving in to that cr@p, however briefly. A lot of us ignored the mask mandates and fortunately, plenty of businesses did too.
In the end, you cannot tell the difference in results in both states in terms of infections, hospitalization, ICUs, and deaths. That you had two extreme statewide experiments going on with the same outcome told me all I needed to know.
