USSC ruled that ALL commerce was interstate commerce. If farmer Joe plants his own food, he’ll buy less food from interstate commerce, thereby affecting interstate commerce, therefore being interstate commerce.
I have always viewed the twisting of the Commerce Clause as a Leftist/Governmental Swiss Army knife to do whatever they want to do, and we let them get away with it.
It is so broad as to be rendered meaningless, but it isn’t. There is no limit to the mischief that can be caused by the manipulation of that.
