Texas state legislators voted to advance a bill that would raise the legal age to buy certain semi-automatic rifles from 18 years old to 21 years old on Monday. State Rep Jarvis Johnson posted a video of the moment HB 2744 was passed out of committee.

It will be scheduled for a vote on the floor of the House of Representatives next. HB 2744 passed with a vote of 8-5. The vote came two days after a mass shooting at a mall killed eight people, including children. Protesters, including families of Uvalde shooting victims, had filled the statehouse to support the bill.

How old was the recent Texas mass shooter? Proves that this bill is crap. Incremental elimination of the 2nd amendment.

This has a LONG way to go before it is an actual law. With that said it is a fact that the current Texas legislative session is full of crap that has bled over from other states like California and Virginia. Texas is becoming more and more woke because the morons coming in from leftist states.

Raise it to 25. If you’re on your parent’s insurance/counted as a dependent, you can’t vote.

Well, I guess I might care about what you think If I had any idea who you were or what your opinion is on things. But I don’t and frankly don’t care to.

I am all for raising alcohol, guns, driver’s license, and VOTING to 21 - 25, or some range therein for each of them. However, no dice if voting is not included! In fact, make voting 30.
