Texas mall gunman Mauricio Garcia appeared to be casing his target for weeks, attacking when it was busiest — after railing online against Jews, women and minorities while noting his own mental-health slide.
Garcia, 33, shared more than two dozen photos of the Allen Premium Outlets on extremist forums in the weeks leading up to his mass shooting, seemingly determining what would be the most packed time at the mall to unleash the greatest carnage, NBC reported.
… In addition to the disturbing snaps, Garcia shared several posts targeting Jewish people, women and racial minorities on the Russian social-networking platform OK.RU and 4chan.
… He posted a video of himself on the day of the massacre removing a Scream mask and asking viewers, “Not quite what you were expecting, huh?” NBC said. It is unclear when the video was taken or what Garcia meant.
… One of his final posts lamented that no psychologist would be able to fix him and his fears of what his family might say about him.
… He said he once admitted his thoughts about his mental health to a commanding military officer.

The Allen mall killer was thrown out of the Army in 2008 because he was mentally ill. If they failed to update the FBI’s NICS database to reflect that, then the Army is liable, because that would have stopped him from buying any guns legally. The Air Force has already settled an almost identical case for $144,500,000.
I’ve read it was a simple admin discharge not specifically addressing mental health. In my experience, trouble-makers were discharged but mental or emotional problems were not highlighted in the paperwork.

Why is it that we know all of this information about this guy less than 48 hours after the event, but there are things we don’t know about the shooter from Las Vegas years ago, and we know very little about the trans gender shooter at the Nashville Christian School?

These violent mental cases are crazy. They don’t necessarily apply a ton of logic to their chosen ideological rabbit hole.
