Media’s long con to bury Hunter Biden’s laptop scandal
New York Post ^ | May 5, 2023 | Eddie Scerry

It’s the biggest con ever perpetuated by the national media. For all of their hysterics over “disinformation” and “collusion,” we know now that they were indisputably the most guilty of both.

Recent reports show how the Washington ruling class, including career intelligence officials, the media and Big Tech, plotted well in advance to suppress and discredit the fully authentic and legitimate Hunter Biden laptop story, solely for the purpose of influencing the 2020 election.

The greatest offense was on behalf of the news media, the constitutionally protected institution charged with holding the powerful to account.

The Left always accuses others of whatever they are doing.

Big tech can be sliced and diced several ways.

1) The people. From Oldster Bill Gates to Middle aged to the young upstarts there are multi-billionaires @)who have free cash to influence things.
2) Big Money... The money is different from the tech. But how much do Vanguard and other bundlers of money for Big Tech steer their money for social, political or reasons other than the money. How much is their thirst for money really a thirst for power?
3) The corporation culture. I’ve consulted to big corporations outside of tech where th PR and HR departments ran the company, not the people in the trenches. The HR and PR areas make it impossible for even top executives to vary from the party line. Almost certainly this exists in big corporate institutions. Currently Biden is pushing labor laws that make independent consultants slaves of the collective. One reason for independent consultants is that they don’t want to be that close to HR and PR.
4) There are others. Big tech is a term that means different things to different people, and different things to the same person depending on the situation.

With the GOP holding the House they can at least keep the topic alive until the election. And maybe they can do even better than that.

The press loses its institutional power the moment the public ceases to view it as being separate from government. If politicians aren’t worried about taking a beating in the newspapers, they won’t fear newspapers, and if the public sees that news reports are indistinguishable from party press releases, they’ll eventually skip past media and go straight to the source.

And what percentage of Democrats still believe it? Hell, what percentage of Republicans still believe it?

He will get some slap-on-the-wrist Plea Bargain deal with the DOJ; within the next year or so, so that Papa Joe can Pardon him before he leaves. They don't want to risk Prosecution by anyone else in the White Hut, and NO Pardon, then.

That's my guess....

I used to esteem journalists. Now, they’re nothing but whores to the liberal billionaires who own them.

With all due respect to the authors otherwise good article, I disagree with his point above. Our rotten to the core judiciary, led by John Roberts COULD HAVE rectified the 2020 stolen election but did not want to. The marxist/democrat INFECTION in our judiciary is plain to see. And, THEN, theres the Jan. 6 Judiciary fiasco!

Obama’s election was the original big con. The Soros propaganda machine really got started suppressing the birthers and hiding all of his skeletons. Remember Whoopie even asked McCain if he was going to make her a slave. Biden told blacks they’d be put in chains.

I think a variation of that same thing. They’re using it NOW to discourage him from running again. “If you don’t run again, you can pardon Hunter on your way out the door. In exchange for not running, we’ll string out the prosecution so that it takes at least into 2025 before any conclusions are reached, and you can issue your pardon in the middle, and we can just throw up our hands. Everyone wins!”

I just don’t see where criminal code applies to these things in any meaningful way when oaths of office are not legally binding.

Why is the news media more absorbed (at this time) about some woman’s personal case against Mr. Trump than with known evidence concerning the Biden family’s involvement in something much larger in importance as it applies to our country? Pretty obvious to me that they are more interested in keeping Mr. Trump from running for president.
