Across the nation, policies were formed following America’s confrontation with racism in the summer of 2020.

A case that sparked protests and calls for change then is the force behind a proposal getting ready for a vote now at the Colorado Capitol.

Lawmakers and law enforcement have been working on a policy regarding no-knock warrants for years. Their compromise is now steps away from the governor’s desk.

Unless you hold a sign outside an abortion facility, or your daughter sells lemonade or eggs from her six chickens. It's full SWAT at 4:00AM for them, dead dog grampa Sundays.

Flash-Bang and Frog Man Fridays.

Tactical air support Tuesdays.

Curse at the family is every day just to stay sharp.

How about no no-knock warrants?

And require the police announce LOUDLY with the flashing red/blue lights.

Plus none of this “smash the door one second after whispering police.

And a real hard look at SWAT members and the frequency of use.

“Stake it out”

Today you can buy a nice internet connected camera with low lux sensors and motion sensing for a few hundred dollars.

If you a govt agency probably you can get them for under a 2k.

Probably apple sells special customers ‘three letter’ tags that they can use to track things too.

Probably swat no knock actions are not warranted 99% of the time.

You’ve heard the expression, to someone with a hammer everything is a nail?

Well, give a bunch of macho A holes a military rank, military equipment, qualified immunity and corrupt or moronic judges and you have thousands of military style raids on private citizens every year. And a frighteningly large number of wrong addresses (WTH?), destroyed property and beaten and murdered innocents. Most of the time the local government is not even legally required to fix the home they trashed if it’s a mistake.

The courts give that kind of power to pumped up dickheads who can’t even find the correct address? Oh yeah, I have been subjected to “females” in uniform who think the same way.

Good news. similar bill, though a weaker version is also advancing in Texas. Way past time for that. It’s time to make police act like civilized human beings again.

This year’s proposal calls for search warrants by officers in Colorado to be done between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Officers would need to be in uniform or wearing a badge so they can be identified. They would also need to have their body cameras on when entering and knock and announce their presence at a volume loud enough for the officer to reasonably believe people inside can hear them and allow a reasonable amount of time before entering.

Colorado actually gets this right.

Nothing at all unreasonable about these guidelines.
