First it was your gas stove, now it’s your dishwashing appliance

With some creative license, Martin Niemöller’s famous prose can be remade into something silly but fitting for our contemporary reality:

First they came for the incandescent light bulbs but I did not speak out, because I am a virtue-signaling leftist.

Then they came for the freon but I did not speak out, because I am a virtue-signaling leftist.

Then they came for the gas stoves but I did not speak out, because I am a virtue-signaling leftist.

Then they came for the dishwashers but I did not speak out, because I am a virtue-signaling leftist.

On and on ad nauseam; you get the point.

Last week, Jennifer Granholm announced that the Department of Energy would be focusing on “new energy efficiency actions” because of course, the greatest threat facing America is “carbon pollution” and the “climate crisis”. On a comedic sidenote, the announcement reminded me of a scene from cultural phenomenon, The Office; when manager Michael Scott becomes emotionally defensive of the under-fire business model of the fictitious Dunder Mifflin, he declares this:

You know what else is facing five Goliaths? America. Al-Qaeda. Global warming. Sex predators. Mercury poisoning. So do we just give up? — Michael Scott (@carellquotes) July 6, 2012

Remember a time when even Hollywood conceded that being a sex predator was a bad thing? Those were the days....

(To watch the scene, click here and start at 03:43.)

Of course, the list is meant to be ludicrous and exhibit Scott’s complete naivete…cough…Secretary Granholm…cough….

When hordes of young men patiently await the end of Title 42; the dissolution of national unity and political bonds erode at unprecedented rates; and the middle class edges towards extinction;

Bottom line: the Department of Energy is an unconstitutional bureaucracy, and “Constitutionally-mandated” is a crafty way to imply legality (despite the lack thereof).

From Addison Smith at Just the News:

https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/energy/ent-dishwashers-ac-units-comprehensive-list-household-items-biden-could-be

“If implemented, the rules would require that dishwashers cut water and power usage by 34% and 27% respectively, according to Bloomberg Law. For smaller models, the mandatory reductions are 22% for power and 11% for water.”

If you vote Democrat for anything, even dogcatcher, you are hastening the demise of our country. Don’t be deceived in thinking you are “voting for the person”.

There is no area of your life these people don’t think they need to command.

The federal government should run the Post Office, some courts, and border patrol. That’s it. Let the states do everything else.

RE: The federal government should run the Post Office, some courts, and border patrol.

Heck, they’re already running these and they can’t even do their jobs well.

Basically, if you can think of something that makes your life easier, it will be targeted for “climate change”.

And so people will either run it twice or handwash dishes and use more water and energy than the dishwasher would take.

We are being governed by absolute morons who have no concept of reality.

You missed the toilets. That was major and started early.

My dishwasher uses very little water and NO electricity.

I call it 'Honey'. Wifey insists on doing the dishes.

We have a rule that has been in place for many decades. It's called ICYC.
"I Cook You Clean". Works well for us.

It will eventually extend to health care, particularly for the frail or elderly. Human Sacrifice to appease the Earth God...

According to the Department of Agriculture, 10.2 percent (13.5 million) of US household had food insecurity in 2021. And it will increase as shortages in corn and wheat are going to be a problem in 2023.

So if we can’t control starvation when products are available, how are we going to gain anything if the products aren’t available? If there’s nothing to eat, there is no need for dishes. We need to evaluate our priorities. It’s like the proverb that says I felt sorry for the person who had no shoes, until I observed the person who had no feet.

If they really wanted to do something for the environment they should outlaw disposable diapers.

I’m told that the modern dishwasher is very efficient and uses far less water than handwashing dishes in a sink and the heat sanitizes as well.

I bought a Speed Queen TC500 a few months ago. Best washing machine I’ve ever owned. A large load of clothes takes 25 minutes to wash, clothes come out clean with plenty of rinse water to wash away dirt and detergent. It comes with a 5 year parts and labor guarantee and has a lid you can open to add an extra piece of clothing. They’re hard to fine but the Consumer Reports digital site has links to where they can be bought. They cost more than most washers but you’ll have this washer 20 years from now.

Yep. I do dishes by hand on my days off. Good for my sore hands and skin.
These same hands that the commies call a, “Rapid firing device,” for a firearm; something ELSE they want to regulate or ban.

“If you vote Democrat for anything, even dogcatcher, you are hastening the demise of our country.”

That qualifies as ‘domestic enemy’ and all corresponding punitive actions authorized by my (and others’) oath.

Some here crow about ‘enemies’ but we never have a serious discussion about what to do about it, let alone see any action whatsoever.

I’m not suggesting open/public forum exposing actions/organization/tactics, but merely the fact that targeting neighbors/family/coworkers and illegitimate bureaucrats/derelict elected officials is quickly becoming the only effective avenue, including tagging leftists for clandestine punitive actions (not the moronic streetbound open warfare we’ve seen).

The evidence of lack of action is all around us and reported upon daily, including the continued unconstitutional perpetual detainment of J6 accused.

The enemy is empowered by lack of action and they continue to encroach; it’s long past time that we collectively subverted their activities regularly and surreptitiously at the local levels, especially now that they’ve undermined both free press and free elections.

Their goal is to rewrite the US Constitution because they know that they are all hypocritical criminals under the current law of the land; that includes those who vote/support them.
