It would be bad enough if the country was running a huge surplus, and had money to spare. But we are of course a debtor nation. Bad times are ahead.

Back in 2011 Nevada police commandeered some guy’s house. The cops wanted to use his house to watch some other house. The guy sued, claiming it was a Third Amendment violation.
The guy lost. The courts said the 3A only prohibited the quartering of soldiers in private homes. It did not apply to the police. And I guess not to illegals, either.
A good solution would be to charge a toll at the border. $50,000 per illegal trying to cross. Good for a year "stay" in the country until kicked out. Any that don't leave, or can't pay the toll (as in those who sneak in) will be placed in indentured servitude for a period of 5 years. They don't like it, they don't have to break into our country. The ones committed to indentured servitude can build and repair a border wall, serve the homeless and clean homeless camps, etc. Any costs for the program paid by toll fees.
I know what really happens, the liberals don't want to fix problems, they want to create problems.
