U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert has filed for divorce from her husband, Jayson, the Garfield County Republican announced Tuesday.
The couple has been married for roughly two decades.
“It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband. I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we work through this process,” the congresswoman said in a written statement. “I’ve always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult.”
She added: “This is truly about irreconcilable differences. I do not intend to discuss this matter any further in public out of respect for our children, and will continue to work hard to represent the people of Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District.”
The divorce petition, claiming the Boeberts’ marriage is “irretrievable broken,” was filed on April 25 in Mesa County court, according to documents reviewed Tuesday by The Colorado Sun.
The initial filing includes a request by Boebert that she be granted child support and given parental decision-making power for their children, who were listed as sharing an address with her in Silt. Jason Boebert was served the documents at a different address, not far from where Boebert resides.

She probably met somebody else. Most women cannot continue to be with a man who she has outgrown. He’s a small time guy and she’s gone Washington, so when her internal hypergamy kicked in, she probably got into a relationship with some guy on her new level.
Unless he was unfaithful, having her away from home so much, that’s I would guess it would be.

No, I don’t understand why hypergamy is such a strong draw for women. I get finding suitable males, but if you found one why would you allow a stronger male to attract you enough to break up your family?

She’s on a new plane of life and decided not to work to bring her husband up to her plane. She just chose to move on.

Women tend to marry up. Men tend to marry down. Hypergamy. It appears to be human nature.

I understand that. We want the most suitable mate for ourselves, but I’m referring to letting those tendencies kick in once you have found somebody.

It hurts to see this happen but women are in politics and yes consider Sarah Palin and Marjorie Taylor Greene after the political careers began the marriages ended.

I agree with you. We have created a culture where men cannot be their best and our giving way to that culture is destroying families. We have to start pushing to take the lead in our own lives again.

It is manosphere common knowledge that women who advance in their careers and start to out earn their husband, they suddenly lose respect for the man. And that means the marriage is likely to end shortly thereafter. A relationship expert, especially with type A personality women agrees with this. Suzzane Venker has a Youtube channel and she discusses the difficulty high earning professional women have being content and having happy marriages.
