ehh - I’m pro Trump but claiming DeSantis is abandoning Florida to make his campaign run is a real stretch.
Jacksonville is a real problem, though. Not like Trumps (or any other leader’s) picks always pan out - but that DeSantis did very little ground work to support the candidacy and/or miscalculated the win.
Where Trump is the bull in the china shop, it’s given that his ground game sucks.
DeSantis, OTOH, was positioning himself as the GOP tactician candidate...
he gave an oath to govern FL for the term, he seems to be bailing on that - that IS abandoning the state for some other pursuit.
It’s all about perspective, and DeSantis hasn’t been managing that very well.
