OAKLAND, Calif. - Nine adolescents and teens were arrested in connection with a spree of robberies and other crimes across the East Bay, including the recent assault of a 63-year-old woman in Oakland's Rockridge neighborhood, authorities said.
Ranging in age from 12 to 17, the underage suspects are believed to have committed 32 robberies in Oakland, two in Piedmont and one in El Cerrito, according to the Oakland Police Department. The robberies happened in the neighborhoods of Rockridge, Uptown, Trestle Glen, Grand Lake, Bella Vista, Acorn, Adams Point, Longfellow, Northgate, Fruitvale, Ivy Hill, Chinatown, Mosswood and Temescal.
Police believe the group is tied to the robbery and beating of a 63-year-old woman outside of Rockridge Market Hall on Sunday afternoon. The woman was pushed to the ground, robbed and assaulted, police said.

Rockridge and Trestle Glen are two very nice, high quality suburbs near Oakland and Berkeley areas.
I could never afford to live there unless it were a matter of rent sharing. I’m certain those kids stuck out right away and looking like they don’t belong there. I don’t mean color, necessarily. I mean their attitude, their cars, perhaps their clothing too. Did they appear to be aimlessly wandering?
They’ll never be punished...never be held accountable for their crimes, and will end up becoming career criminals. Or they’ll run as Democrats for public office, and become career criminals.
