And somehow, in your blind support for DeSantis, you don't think the same result awaits DeSanctimonious if he were actually to win the Primary, only much worse?
If you believe that Trump would lose the General, how much more would DeSanctimonious lost the General without the support of MAGA, which he will not have.
Remember that President Trump brought in millions of die-hard MAGA Loyalists to the polls that had never voted before and will not vote for anyone but President Trump.
DeSantis is whistlin' past the graveyard where his political career is concerned.

“and will not vote for anyone but President Trump”
Then they are IDIOTS who will bring ruin on the USA! If Trump had a heart attack and died tomorrow, would you quit voting? Leave the country? Turn hermit?
What kind of candy-assed pansy are you?

As a reminder, all the MAGA loyalists turned out in force for Glenn Youngkin in 2021. But so did never-Trumpers and other independents. The result - Glenn Youngkin flipped a blue state to red, and has gone on to govern as a conservative.
Trump will have his loyalists, but he can’t build a winning coalition like Youngkin did, especially with his tireless and childish antics against other Republicans. DeSantis carried Florida by 19 points; Trump carried it by three. I think I know who has the capacity to put together a winning coalition.
