Not that Trump actually built the wall anyway. He repaired a bunch, built 50 or so miles where there wasn't anything. All told about 500 for a 2,500 mile border. He continued giving releasing people, issuing work permits, not deporting those here in big numbers. End of his term there were more illegals in the US than before.

We really do need to have a national discussion and consensus on immigration. Build the wall, deport anyone here illegally, rescind all work permits, implement eVerify for all current and future workers, even temporary and part-time. That'd be a good start. Then, a federal law banning driver's licenses to illegals, mandating barring any future immigration if ever enter illegally, etc.

Good luck with that. Been at least 50 years I've been hearing the same thing from politicians. Anybody that votes for DeSantis obviously won't get that. Trump did more about the border than any President in my 75 years, and they destroyed him for it.
