We really do need to have a national discussion and consensus on immigration. Build the wall, deport anyone here illegally, rescind all work permits, implement eVerify for all current and future workers, even temporary and part-time. That'd be a good start. Then, a federal law banning driver's licenses to illegals, mandating barring any future immigration if ever enter illegally, etc.
Good luck with that. Been at least 50 years I've been hearing the same thing from politicians. Anybody that votes for DeSantis obviously won't get that. Trump did more about the border than any President in my 75 years, and they destroyed him for it.

The left’s position on any discussion on immigration consists of demanding amnesty for all illegal aliens now here and any that travel here in the future. When they speak of “immigration reform” that is what they are demanding.
