You forgot that Trump trusted Fauci for his covid policy.
He also nominated Chris Wray to run the FBI.
He nominated Jeff Sessions as AG, who allowed a special counsel to be formed to investigate Trump.
He replaced Sessions with Bill Barr as AG, the list is to long for the crap Barr did.
I could go on about Trump, it’s pointless because both men have made bad personnel decisions.
Trump was put in a vise by McConnell and others in the swamp - there was only so much he could do. And I think DJT was truly shocked at how bad it was...in business you do a good job and get rewarded...but that’s not how DC works.

DeSantis allowed long-time election fraudster Brenda Snipes (Democrat Broward County, Florida Election Supervisor), to simply resign, giving her back her pension/benefits after Rick Scott fired her. She initially resigned, but then withdrew it, took it to court, and the Judge turned the matter over to the new Gov. DeSantis to be the final arbiter in the matter. He basically stabbed Scott in the back on that one. He let her resubmit her resignation, and let her walk away with her pension intact. Must be Ronny had a problem being tough on a black criminal.
