And both of those military campaigns were outrageous abuses of U.S. Constitutional law.
I decided long ago that I would never hold anything against a Vietnam War era draft dodger. Imagine living in a country that drafts its citizens to fight in stupid wars that aren't even legally declared by Congress and last for more than a decade because the inept, corrupt @ssholes managing those wars have no incentive to end them.

Well tell that to the guys coming home from Vietnam who were spit on, screamed at, and called baby killers when they came home .
That behavior by the anti war types was extremely disgraceful.
My father retired after 25+ years in the military and served multiple tours in Vietnam. He volunteered and was not there by force. He was just one of those types of people who do well in that kind of environment. He always said it was a mistake to draft people who never wanted to be there in the first place. He also said the Vietnam War was a debacle because of politicians, which was their intent. Everyone was milking the war cow.
