DeSantis was a lawyer who happened to be in the military. Big whoop. It was just a resume enhancement tool for him.
Dodged indicates being drafted and refusing to comply, or faking physical or mental disability. Trump did not do that.

These days it usually means that someone isn’t old enough to have lived through the draft. So they don’t know the difference between a 2-S deferment, legal, and draft dodging, a crime.
The draft ended in 1973 along with our participation in Vietnam. 2-S deferments ended earlier than that, in 1969, when the draft lottery was instituted.
