Taliban moving captured US military vehicles and Soviet tanks to Iranian border
MSN ^ | June 31 | Story by Jeff Schogol

Social media shows the Taliban sending U.S. military vehicles captured from the former Afghan National Defense and Security Forces along with some ancient Soviet-era tanks to Afghanistan’s border with Iran following a recent skirmish about access to the Helmand River.

On May 27, fighting broke out in Nimroz province in southern Afghanistan between the Taliban and Iranian border guards. At least three people were killed in the exchanges of fire.

Should hostilities increase between the two sides, Taliban fighters will have thousands of vehicles at their disposal that were paid for by American taxpayers.

A May 27 video of fighting near an Iranian border outpost was taken by a Taliban fighter from inside the turret of an M240 machine gun mounted on a Humvee. More recent videos posted to Twitter purportedly show Taliban convoys of American-made Humvees and M117 Armored Security Vehicles enroute to Afghanistan’s Iranian border.

In addition to M117s and Humvees, the Taliban also uses American-made MaxxPro Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles and M113 armored personnel carriers, said Vishal Sengupta, a research analyst at Janes, a defense intelligence firm.

It is difficult to determine how many of the U.S.-made military vehicles that the Taliban captured are still operational, Sengupta told Task & Purpose. Open sources indicate that the Taliban keeps its fleet of vehicles running by cannibalizing parts from other vehicles.

Taliban official told reporters in February 2022 that Taliban fighters had captured roughly 61,000 military vehicles and 26,000 heavy weapons in the final days of the Afghanistan war, according to Al Jazeera.

The Defense Department has estimated that the former Afghan government had about $7.1 billion in military equipment provided by the United States when the Taliban took over the country.

All the military vehicles were supposedly only driven back and forth to church and a grandson’s house for dinner once a week, if the salesman can be believed.

Old story as Biden let Afghanistan rapidly fall:

“Approximately $7 billion of military equipment the US transferred to the Afghan government over the course of 16 years was left behind.”

Hey ride: don’t you think the equipment being moved could be a blessing in disguise? Think about it. Biden could deserve a medal.

“so, are we on the Taliban’s side now?”

This is Alien vs Predator time. Or like when Godzilla took on Rodan.

“$7.1 billion in military equipment provided by the United States “

Well that should keep them busy until we have time to box up the next shipment.
... Is Ukraine about to end ?
... Or are we just opening an other franchise ?

That will be peanuts compared to what senile Joe will leave behind in Ukraine. Just Watch.

Now that slow Joe’s welfare AT4’s ( and Stingers no doubt) are showing up on our Matamoris Mexican border, Kadyrov’s promise of “ returning them” to the US has become reality. Never, ever trust a Ukrainian.

Bottom line, fact is many of our AT4’s and Stingers have been sold off by the Ukies AND/ OR Kadyrov’s captured US weapons have been sold off to be used against the US- they will be used against us on our soil- so easily predicted.

The war cheerleaders are complete idiots…..which will be evident when one of Senile Joe’s welfare Stingers brings down a U.S. airliner, it will be reported as a “ fuel tank” explosion. Take note: everything Senile Joe does boomerangs or fails. Stay tuned, you war cheerleaders picked one heck of a leader.

Iranians are supplying weapons to Russia. I don’t think theu’ll be bothered by a lot of GI transport vehicles even if armed and uparmored. The Talis were damn good at staying out of harm’s way defending mountain passes. But open warfare entering Iran is a other thing completely. Still it may provide 6 months of good popcotn sales.

If the Taliban were smart they would fly Pride flags on these vehicles to make the Iranians think the United States was about to attack. Then the Iranians could get support from Russia, China, and North Korea to start WW3. Then the Taliban could sit back and pick up the pieces and be happy cave dwelling muslims who rid the world of the infidels.

For those just paying attention, the Taliban and Iranian border has been an issue since week one of their takeover. Go look it up.

I’m thinking more Road to Baghdad with Saddam coming out to meet the coalition. Iran has been spending billions on sophisticated weaponry, tactics, and training. They have a functioning air force. Taliban has lots of export-quality weapons and vehicles, operated by goatherds who cant read the FM.
