Those are not really “machine guns”...just Glock pistols equipped with a “Glock switch” and a really extended magazine.
The Glock switch available to order from some “sketchy” sites. Local Chicago “entrepreneur” buys several dozen from a website and re-sells to the hood rats.

They should pass a law making fully automatic weapons illegal in Chicago. I’m sure that’s the problem - just not enough gun regulations. They just need to close that loophole and it will be utopia there.

A relatively simple part add-on will let a Glock pistol fire full-out.
The part is made in China, smuggled in, and provided to gangs, probably as part of the drug shipments.

Browning Automatic Rifle, caliber .30/06
Thompson submachine gun, caliber .45
AK-47 (fully automatic), caliber 7.62 x 39mm
Swedish K submachine gun, caliber 9mm
Mac 10 submachine gun, caliber 9mm
Lanchester submachine gun, caliber 9mm
And my favorite: Browning M2 .50 cal. heavy machine gun
Automatic weapons are legal to possess and shoot in some states, provided that the user has the federal permit.
Allow me to repeat that.
STUPID PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO VOTE.
As a guess, that would eliminate about 80% of the people in Chicago.
I’ve read that law enforcement is trying to keep these out of circulation and out of the hands of criminal thugs. Wouldn’t someone have to be a gunsmith or a t least a mechanical engineer type person to install one of these “glock switches”? I can imagine they would be simple if they modify the firing mechanism?
