For any Hasbro product design, there have to be multiple layers of review and approval before the item is mass produced and sold to the public.

It’s disheartening to see this.
Its like catching Johnson and Johnson selling something vulgar and obviously inappropriate to children.

Exactly right. Not one person in the review and approval chain said "maybe we need to rethink the placement of the button on this toy?" They knew what they were doing.
