I guess Disney thinks they can get away with this because their buddy Trump will win.
Anyone with any reading comprehension and reading the news and with any bit of fairness knows this is an ongoing battle with Disney, which Florida and the American people will eventually win.
And on the topic, are you with Trump in not wanting boycott or criticism of Disney? Shame really, you and Trump should be cheering DeSantis and Florida Republicans for their fight, not criticising it. Or maybe you join Trump in supporting LGBTQ+ perversion and grooming?
DeSantis did beat Disney on the special status issue, but, Pride week is a separate issue, and has been around for a couple of decades. It’s the people visiting Disney that should speak out about it and not visit on that day.

Just because there are enough sick creeps to fill Disney’s bath house does not mean DeSantis failed. It was never his goal to shut it down. It was to make them pay a price for teaming up with the groomers.
I don’t recall DeSantis telling Disney they could not hold their annual “Gay Days” at the park. I sure don’t remember him convening a special session of the legislature to prohibit such festivals at Disney or other such venues. But you must know that.
DeSantis has never said such activity was or should be illegal if it did not involve exposing children to sexually explicit entertainment in certain public places. Both the meaning of sexually explicit and the types of public places are clearly defined in the statute.
I thought the argument was about Disney’s objecting to Florida’s laws guaranteeing parents’ rights to know what their kids are being taught, not about whether or not Disney has ‘gay days’.
I may not like the idea of ‘gay day’, but it’s none of the government’s business.
Disney is losing bigtime. DeSantis has hit the Mouse bigtime and the company is reeling...stock price cut in half and billions in losses and 7000 in layoffs.
Reedy Creek is no more and us local taxpayers are rejoicing.

I don’t think you can blame DeSantis for this. The Constitution of the United States protects this aberration in the First Amendment. I doubt if Florida’s constitution prohibits this as well.
Short of signing into law, a bill that makes Pride Parades illegal, the only solution is for people to BOYCOTT Disney ike they did Anheuser Busch. DeSantis can only do so much and he already did.

It’s June. They always have a huge gay thing at Disney in June. The first time I visited, in fact, was June 1 and I had no idea why this was going on and why everybody there was prancing around and doing “gay stuff.” However, it was before trannies became the flavor de jour.
DeSantis wants to keep this stuff out of our schools and out of our children’s developing brains, and he has never tried to shut down anything related to gays.
Plus, good old gays look perfectly harmless now, and the only thing I’m surprised at is how they’re just going along with the trans stuff, which of course will put an end to them.
Well disney has had their own little world for a long time. People die there and it’s barely if ever mentioned in the news. Their own little city is underneath the park. It’s the families that need to quit going and vacationing there. Like budlight, people quit buying it and it hurts them. People complained about the NFL but they still buy the jerseys and over priced tickets. Still watch it on tv. Players making 50 million a year plus cuts of their jersey and product sales. Endorsement money from everywhere. Wonder if NFL drops bud light.
Gay days at disney has been there for a long time. Now they are supporting trans community. Families know when this time of the year is. They don’t like it then don’t take your kids this time of the year. I would NOT want my children there now. There will be fights between gays and trans. That would be entertaining to see. Lol
Disney has had gay days for decades now and that has nothing to do with what the state did with Ready Creek. This was about political overreach on the states education bills. As a private company Disney can do what they want and host what they want. The state’s action was/is about the special district privileges.
The bills that DeSantis into law, were not “Don’t say Gay” bills. These were laws designed to stop Public School Teachers from discussing sex, sexuality and gender identity with kids from K-3rd grade. There was also a 2nd law passed to make it illegal to perform sexually explicit drag acts in front of kids.
The fact that you are celebrating Disney’s perversion because you think in some way it damages DeSantis says way more about you and your ilk than it does some failing on DeSantis’ part.
